How much can a pallet truck lift?

A pallet jack, also known as a pallet truck, pallet pump, pallet pump, Scooter, or a jigger is a tool used to lift and move pallets.

Pallet jacks are the most basic form of a forklift and are intended to move pallets within a warehouse.

Manual pallet jacks have existed since the early 1900s. Early types lifted the forks and load only by mechanical linkages.

More modern type uses a hand pumped hydraulic jack to lift the heavy weights. The various types of the pallet trucks are Manual pallet jack, Powered pallet jack, rough terrain pallet jack, and more.

Manual pallet jacks can lift up to 700Kg that is almost 1500 pounds of weight and can help you move a heavy load. That is more than enough weight capacity to help one move exceptionally heavy pallets, furniture or office equipment.

Alternatively Electric Pallet jacks can lift slightly more weight as compared to the manual pallet jacks but they require a lot more leg work than the manual pallet jacks.

Though electric pallet jacks allow one to lift more heavy pallets it requires electric force to do so and hence in return cost more.

Electric jacks however permit one to lift and move heavy loads using a control located on the jack handle and they are typically able to maneuver weights up to 2300 Kg that is up to 5000 pounds.
